News Americas, PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti, Weds. Sept. 20, 2011: Three people are dead in Cap-Haitien after a twin-engine turboprop aircraft crashed trying to land Tuesday.

Authorities said the airline, Salsa d’Haiti’s wreckage was found in a rural area outside the northern coastal city of Cap-Haitien along with the bodies of two pilots and its only passenger.

Earlier, local police officer Ernst Silenceuse told the AP that the plane was a Beechcraft 99 that went down outside Cap-Haitien while trying to land in rain. He said it was the last flight of the day to Cap-Haitien from Haiti’s capital, Port-au-Prince.
