News Americas, MIAMI, FL, Mon. 9, 2018: Hurricane Beryl has now thankfully dissipated to a Tropical Storm Watch.
The storm was bringing rain across Dominica, the Leeward Islands, the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico last night but the wind speed was down dramatically from the initial 90 mph forecast.
A tropical storm watch was in effect for Dominica a well as the Leeward Islands, the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, and the Dominican Republic last night, according to the National Hurricane Center. Rainfall amounts could reach up to five inches.
Beryl is set to move near or south of the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico on Monday.
Gusty winds at around 45 mph are also possible across the Leeward Islands and in the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.
