Usain Bolt looks skyward as he usually does before every race.

News Americas, BEIJING, China, Fri. Aug. 28, 2015: It’s hard to miss but the world’s fastest man does it before every race in the starting blocks – he makes the sign of the cross, kisses his fingers and raises it to heaven as he looks skyward.

Yesterday, Usain St. Leo Bolt left no doubt that he feels blessed by a higher power after he again claimed the gold in his second major race in Beijing.

“They said it couldn’t be done. But my peeps even when they tell you that all the odds are against you never give up. Fight on and keep believing in your God ability,” he Tweeted hours after he shot out of the blocks in the 200-m men’s finals at the 2015 IAAF World Championships at the Birds Next in Beijing to again trounce the much-hyped U.S. athlete, Justin Gatlin.

It was the second time in days that Bolt had shut down Gatlin and made the American settle for second place. First he won the 100-m men’s finals on Sunday by just one-hundredth of a second and Tweeted: “Way up, I feel blessed.”

On Thursday, though there was no denying that the man from Trelawney, Jamaica was the better of the two as Bolt finished in 19.56 even though he eased up at the end of the race. Gatlin could only manage 19.74 after boosting on Twitter hours before the race that he was going to break the sound barrier.

But it was a hapless Chinese cameraman who managed to do what Gatlin couldn’t – topple the 6′ 5″ Bolt with a motorized two-wheel contraption even as volunteer attempted to make off with his spikes.

“I am fine. I have a few cuts,” Bolt commented after with a laugh. “But it’s nothing I have never done to myself in training. I feel like Justin Gatlin had something to do with it. Maybe.”

After the race Bolt gave praise to God again.

His PR team have confirmed Bolt is a Bible-believing, God-honoring, Jesus-worshipping Christian.
