News Americas, NEW YORK, NY, Fri. June 24, 2016: More and more, the Billboard Reggae Chart is being topped by non-Jamaicans and this week is no exception with a California group holding on to the top spot for the second week in a row.
The Billboard Chart for July 2, 2016 shows Rebelution, a roots reggae music band formed in Santa Barbara, California in 2004, holding steady at number one with their new album, ‘Falling Into Place.’ The album is the band’s – Eric Rachmany, Rory Carey, Wesley Finley, Marley D Williams, and Khris Royal (touring member) – fifth studio album and was released on June 3rd. It was recorded as a joint venture by their 87 Music label and Easy Star Records and tracks include:

Rebelution released their first full-length album ‘Courage to Grow’ in June 2007, which became the breakthrough album for the band.
Meanwhile, also making the Billboard list this week is Vybz Kartel, who was in the number two spot with ‘King of the Dancehall’ while Ziggy Marley was in the number three spot – down from two last week – with his self-titled album.
