June 17, 2019: As we mark the 17th day of Caribbean American Heritage Month 2019, did you know that after the 1960s, the U.S saw an influx of unauthorized Caribbean immigrants migrate to the country? According to studies done on this phenomenon, in the late 70s, there were 14 primary countries that the immigrants were coming from included Jamaica, Haiti and the Dominican Republic.
