News Americas, MIAMI, FL, Fri. Mar. 23, 2018: Haitian-American pop star, Jason Derulo, touched down in his parents’ homeland of Haiti on Saturday, March 17th, for an official video shoot.
The Miami singer and songwriter, born Jason Joel Desrouleaux, was accompanied by his parents and welcomed to Cap Haitian by Jessy Meno, the country’s minister of tourism.
He is shooting the official music video for his new song “Colors,” which he’ll be performing in Russia during the opening ceremony of the 2018 FIFA World Cup on June 14th.
“Through my years of travel, I’ve been able to see the beauty in our cultural differences and I wrote ‘Colors’ to celebrate that diversity and be a part of the amazing energy that sports fans around the world give to their teams,” Derulo said of the song in a statement. “It’s a tournament that celebrates athletic excellence and I’m honored to provide the soundtrack.”
