News Americas, NEW YORK, NY, Thurs Mar. 29, 2018: Jamaican-American actress, Sheryl Lee Ralph, has signed on as a series’ regular roles in the upcoming CBS comedy pilot, Fam.
The show was written by Corinne Kingsbury, (The Newsroom), Kapital Entertainment and CBS TV Studios and is about a woman, (Clem), whose dreams of an upstanding life with her new fiancé, Jay (Bell) and his upstanding family, are dashed when her train-wreck younger half-sister, (Adlon), comes to live with her to escape their train wreck of a father.
Ralph will portray Rose, Jay’s mother. She’s an elegant, sophisticated, intellectual society matron who is completely unaffected, with a great sense of fun. She’s also thrilled when Jay and Clem announce their engagement.
Ralph currently recurs on CBS’ MacGyver and TNT’s Claws, and she recently wrapped a run on Broadway as Madame Morrible in Wicked.
