News Americas, MIAMI, FL, Fri. April 13, 2018: Grammy-winning Jamaican reggae singer, Shaggy, took a walk down country music lane this past weekend in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Shaggy, whose 44/876 in collaboration with Sting will drop on April 20th, was part of the line-up at the sixth installment of Tortuga Music Festival, which took place this past Friday through Sunday on Fort Lauderdale Beach.

The award-winning event mostly stuck to its tried-and-true formula of country music superstars, but it also included Shaggy and Snoop Dogg.

Shaggy offered a fun afternoon of reggae that saw the thousands of fans on the beach rocking like the ocean.

“Thank you, Fort Lauderdale,” the singer, born Orville Burrell tweeted after with a photo that showed him backing thousands of mainly white fans with their hands in the air.

The Tortuga Music Festival works hand in hand with the Rock The Ocean Foundation to increase public awareness about the issues impacting the world’s oceans and to support scientific research, education, and ocean conservation initiatives. Over $1,000,000 has been given back to Conservation Village partners as a direct result of ticket sales and donations.
