News Americas, NEW YORK, NY, Fri. Oct. 6, 2017: Music lovers in Brooklyn, New York are in for a treat on Saturday, October 29th when a Caribbean celebrity mom stages an empowerment concert to bring focus to domestic violence awareness.
The event is being called ‘Repairing The Bridge’ and is being hosted by singer and philanthropist Carol Maraj, mother of Trinidad-born Hip-Hop superstar, Nicki Minaj, through the Carol Maraj Foundation.
Artists set to perform at Roulette Intermedium, 509 Atlantic Avenue, Brooklyn will include R & B and gospel music icon Melba Moore; Calypso Legend The Mighty Sparrow; reggae star Rayvon; soca star Lyrical; Singing Francine and DJ Platinum Sound
Maraj is passionate about the issue of domestic violence because she is a survivor and has now devoted her life to advocacy on behalf of victims of domestic abuse everywhere. The Carol Maraj Foundation was founded in 2012.
