News Americas, NEW YORK, NY, Weds. Jan. 12, 2021: A 4.6 earthquake reportedly shook Haiti yesterday, according to latest data from the US Geological Survey, (USGS).

The magnitude 4.6 earthquake occurred 5 miles from Petit-Trou-de-Nippes, Haiti on Jan 11 at 11:07 AM. Earlier in the day, a magnitude 4.2 earthquake occurred 3 miles from Petit-Trou-de-Nippes, Haiti at 1:18 a.m. No damages were reported.

Last August 14th, at 08:29 a.m, a magnitude 7.2 earthquake struck the Tiburon Peninsula also near Petit-Trou-de-Nippes, approximately 150 kilometres west of the capital, Port-au-Prince.

The January 11th shudder comes as Haiti marks the 12th anniversary of the devastating 2010 quake. Twelve years ago today, over 250,000 people lost their lives to a devastating earthquake in Haiti.
