News Americas, BRIDGETOWN, Barbados, Weds. May 30, 2018: Over the weekend, Barbados’ first elected female Prime Minister, Mia Mottley named her Cabinet after being sworn in officially on Friday, March 25, 2018. The new cabinet consists of 30 members and 12 senators.
Referring to what some people consider a “gigantic Cabinet,” she said: “My Cabinet will be relatively large because I have not only considered the mandate given to us by the people but also the scope of the work to be done and the level of expertise at our disposal among elected members.”
The new Cabinet members sworn in on May 26th are:
