News Americas, PORT-OF-SPAIN, Trinidad, Fri. May 25, 2018: A 38-year-old Trinidad man has been charged with buggery and grievous sexual assault against a 19-year-old woman with developmental delay.
Negus Charles, a laborer in Princes Town, Trinidad, is alleged to have committed the grievous sexual assault and indecent assault against the woman sometime between Thursday March 1st and April 30th. The buggery offence allegedly took place on April 29.
Charles was arrested two weeks later and charged. He was, however, recently granted $300,000 bail by a San Fernando Magistrate. The matter has now been postponed to June 18th.
