News Americas, BALI, Indonesia, Tues. Sept. 24, 2013: Three Caribbean beauties and one from Central America were among the top 12 to thrill guests of the Talent Competition at the Miss World 2013 pageant in Bali.

The four regional finalists – British Virgin Islands, Trinidad and Tobago, Dominica and Panama – showcased their talent finale to be held live in Bali on September 22nd.

Miss British Virgin Islands, Kirtis Malone, took to the stage to perform a rendition of Alexandra Burke’s interpretation of Hallelujah. A powerful singer, Malone claimed 4th place and was the perfect ending to a perfect talent competition. Her singing was moving, full of the emotion that inspired the original song.

Miss Dominica, Leslassa Armour-Shillingford
Miss Dominica, Leslassa Armour-Shillingford, was the 8th performer of the night and chose to display her highly technical ballet ‘en pointe.’ One of the most technical styles of Ballet, Armour-Shillingford showed why she was chosen for the top 12, and seemed to really enjoy performing for the judges and the audience, who applauded her when her performance came to a close.

Miss Panama, Virginia Hernandez.
Miss Panama, Virginia Hernandez, also was a Ballet performer, with a more contemporary feel. With graceful leaps and spins, she showed impeccable balance, and was yet another example of why this year’s contestants are some of the most talented ever seen at Miss World.

Miss Trinidad & Tobago, Sherrece Villafana.
Miss Trinidad & Tobago, Sherrece Villafana played the steel drums, and brought a wonderful Caribbean feel to this already multicultural affair, and hit every note perfectly.

The Miss World 2013 pageant, currently in its 63rd edition, will be held on September 28th at the Sentul International Convention Center on the outskirts of Jakarta.

Besides vying for the crown, the Miss World contestants are competing for Beach Fashion, Top Model, Sports and Fitness, Beauty with a Purpose, Talent Competition and the World Fashion Designer Award.

The top 11 Beach Fashion contestants have also been revealed and they include only Brazil, and Jamaica from the LATAM region. They were selected after they took part in a poolside demonstration of 125 ways to tie a sarong.

The winners of each round will be announced at the final gala of the pageant when one of the contestants will be crowned Miss World 2013 by last year’s winner, Yu Wenxia of China.
