News Americas, NEW YORK, NY, Fri. Feb. 9, 2018: Bahamas Olympian Shaunae Miller Uibo matched the fastest time ever in the 300-m at the Millrose Games on Saturday. Miller-Uibo clocked 35.45 seconds, a time that equaled the 25-year-old mark set by Russia’s Irina Privalova.
” It’s a great feeling,” she commented after. “Coach wanted me to come out here and run a pretty good time and it was a world record.”
The Bahamian finished ahead of Canada’s Sage Watson, 37.08, and the United States’ Jaide Stepter, 37.23. Two other Americans, Courtney Okolo, 37.28, and Ashley Spencer, 37.43, rounded out the field.
