News Americas, AGUADILLA, Puerto Rico, Tues. Oct. 27, 2015: Eighteen undocumented Caribbean migrants were busted in two separate incidents over the weekend in Puerto Rico by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Border Patrol Agents.
The migrants from Cuba, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic were caught after trying to cross the Mona passage to make it on to US soil.
A total of 6 Cuban nationals including 5 men and 1 woman managed to make landfall on Mona Island before being nabbed.
On Sunday October 25, 12 undocumented migrants including 11 Haitians nationals and One Dominican Republic national were found after extensive search in the town of Cabo Rojo, in southwestern coast of Puerto Rico.
Ramey Border Patrol agents responded to Cabo Rojo and found a white and blue, twenty-two (22) foot vessel with a 60 HP Yamaha outboard engine and later located the migrants.
