News Americas, NEW YORK, NY, Fri. June 7, 2019: This June as we continue to honour the contributions of Caribbean Americans to the cultural fabric of the United States for the 14th consecutive year, New Yorkers are being urged to celebrate the cuisine of the region with #EATCARIBBEANNYC 2019.
Presented by the West Indian American Day Carnival Association, the week-long celebration will kick off on Sunday, June 16th and run through Sunday, June 23rd.
#EATCARIBBEANNYC 2019, according to organizers, will feature a full week of tasty Caribbean inspired options for New Yorkers and tourists to enjoy as participating restaurants offer prix fixe menus and special dishes influenced by African, French, Chinese, English, Indian, Portuguese and Spanish cultures.
Popular favourites will include stewed, jerk or curried meats, roti, griot, pelau, crab & dumpling, cou cou, conch, ackee & saltfish, pepper pot, a variety of vegetarian dishes, baked goods, sweets, delicious drinks and much more.
