News Americas, LOS ANGELES, CA, Thurs. Nov. 3, 2011: The prosecution and defense are set to both present closing arguments today in the trial of Michael Jackson’s Caribbean-born doctor, Dr. Conrad Murray.

The jury was given the day off on Wednesday in the involuntary manslaughter as both sides gear up to present their last arguments in the 22-day trial. Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor is set to instruct the panel of jurors about presumption of innocence, believability, conflict of testimony – among other points of law.

The Grenada-born Murray this week chose to stay silent and not take the stand in his own defense.

The prosecution has portrayed Murray as a careless cardiologist who gave in to outrageous demands from the late Pop star, sedating him like a surgery patient in order to help him sleep.

But the defense’s propofol expert testified that Jackson could have injected it in an IV through a preloaded syringe.

Murray, 58, is on trial for involuntary manslaughter for Jackson’s sudden death on June 25, 2009, at the age of 50. He has pleaded not-guilty.
