News Americas, NEW YORK, NY, Fri. Sept. 28, 2012: The countdown has begun to the Caribbean Tourism Organization’s State of the Industry Conference, set this year for the island of St. Kitts and Nevis, the birthplace of former U.S. Secretary of the Treasury, Alexander Hamilton.

The SOIC will be will be held at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort under the theme, “Developing a Winning Strategy.”

It will be hosted by the Government of St. Kitts from October 10-12, 2012. Over 300 tourism industry leaders from the more than 30 member-countries of the CTO, as well as representatives of the regional and international private sector, academics and members of the press are set to attend.

The conference will mark the first official appearance of the new Chairman of the CTO’s Council of Ministers who will be elected on October 10th and will serve for a period of two years.
