News Americas, NASSAU, Bahamas, Weds. Jan. 30, 2013: The countdown has begun to The Bahamas International Investment and Business Forum.

The event, to be hosted by Prime Minister of The Bahamas, Perry Christie, is set for Freeport, Bahamas, from February 20-21, 2013.

“The Bahamas International Business & Investment Forum will highlight the key advantages The Bahamas, and Grand Bahama in particular, will have in capitalizing on the expansion of the Panama Canal, which is due to be completed in 2014. The event will also showcase The Bahamas as a global investment destination of choice with a wide range of opportunities across a number of key sectors,” said PM Christie.

Speakers to date include the Bahamas Minister of State for Investment, Khaalis Rolle; Minister for Grand Bahama, Dr Michael Darville – Minister for Grand Bahama, Minister of Financial Services of the Bahamas, Ryan Pinder; Kendrid Dorsett, the island’s Minister of the Environment and Housing; Minister of Tourism of The Bahamas, Obediah Wilchcombe; G. Anthony Hylton, Minister of Industry, Investment and Commerce, Jamaica among Jose Del Castillo – Minister of Industry and Commerce, Dominican Republic among several others.
