News Americas, FLUSHING, NY, Tues. Sept. 3, 2013: Novak Djokovic, the world’s number one tennis men’s champ, made easy work of Spaniard Marcel Granollers to advance at the 2013 U.S. Open.

Djokovic rolled over Granollers and into the upcoming quarterfinal with Mikhail Youzhny, 6-3, 6-0, 6-0.

“I definitely played one of the better matches I’ve played in my life in Arthur Ashe Stadium,” the Serb national told ESPN’s broadcaster Brad Gilbert after the match in which he struck 34 winners to just 15 unforced errors, and scarily won 85 percent of his service points.

“After three-all in the first set, I played flawless tennis,” admitted Djokovic. “I had everything working, really every part of my game, so this is encouraging for me.”

The win means the world No. 1 has now reached his 19th consecutive Grand Slam quarterfinal.
