News Americas, SAO PAULO, Brazil, Weds. Aug. 3, 2011: Eight people are dead in Brazil after an Air Force plane crashed in the southern part of the country, killing everyone of board yesterday.
Officials of the Brazilian Air Force said the accident involved a C-98A Grand Caravan plane that was flying from an airport in Canoas, the fourth largest city in the state of Rio Grande do Sul to Rio de Janeiro.
Nearly two hours later, the aircraft disappeared from radar. The wreckage of the plane was later found in the town of Bom Jardim da Serra in the state of Santa Catarina.
