News Americas, BROOKLYN, NY, Tues. Mar. 27, 2018: A Fly Jamaica employee reportedly admitted to US Customs and Border Protection agents that he was carrying cocaine during a pat down and interview session at JFK Airport.

James Flynn, special agent with the Department of Homeland Security, made the claim in a deposition presented at the arraignment of Hugh Hall in Brooklyn on March 19th before Judge Peggy Kuo.

Flynn said Hall arrived from Kingston, Jamaica and was selected for inspection. During a pat down, an CBP officer felt a hard object underneath Hall’s pants. He was asked about the item and reportedly replied that it was cocaine, according to the deposition.

Four packages were subsequently found wrapped around Hall’s thighs and calves, which contained a powdery white substance which tested positive for cocaine. The gross weight was put at 3.9 kilograms with a street value of US$160,000.

Hall remains in jail and is facing US federal narcotics smuggling charges. He has retained Peter Kirchheimer and the Federal Defenders of New York, Inc. as his counsel.
