News Americas, BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, Fri. April 12, 2013: Controversial right-wing talk show host, Bill O’Reilly, recently visited St. Kitts/Nevis, the birthplace of the US’ first Secretary Of The Treasury, Alexander Hamilton, and concluded the island’s culture is “interesting.”
O’Reilly visited the Caribbean island over the Easter holidays. He came back and showed glimpses of the Federation to his viewers, including of Frigate Bay and Port Zante stating: “The culture of the islands is a very interesting combination of British, French and African. We had a great time, the water [Caribbean Sea] is beautiful, the beach at the Marriott is stunning and folks on the island are friendly.”
An ardent critic of immigration reform in the past, O’Reilly recently softened his stance enough to admit that the Marco Rubio plan, which calls for a securing of the borders and a path to legalization for millions of undocumented migrants in the United States, including many from the Caribbean, is a “fair enough” one.
