News Americas, BROOKLYN, NY, Fri. May 8, 2014: Nine-year-old Guyanese-American Queens resident Rebecca Ramnarine, who was killed in road accident on Sunday, May 4, 2014 is set to be laid to rest next week following a funeral service in Brooklyn.
The Lorraine Hansberry School, P.S 118 student will be funeralized on Wednesday, May 14th, 2014 at the church she had attended before her tragic death – Restoration Temple Assembly of God Church – 4610 Church Avenue in Brooklyn NY 11203 (between Schenectady Ave and East 46th Street).
A viewing is set for 4 to 6 p.m. which will be followed by a service from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m.
Rebecca and her family had just departed Sunday church service and were on their way to dinner motorist when Kenneth Palache, 62, of Huntington, Long Island, slammed into the vehicle she was travelling in with her friend and her friend’s mother at the traffic signal at the intersection of Remsen Avenue and Avenue N in Canarsie, Brooklyn.
She succumbed to injuries sustained from the accident much to the horror and disbelief of her parents, Guyanese Abiola and Richard Ramnarine, who had been following in their own car with their other children at a short distance behind.
Palache has been slapped with charges of criminally negligent homicide, leaving the scene of an accident and operating a motor vehicle without a license.
