News Americas, FOXBOROUGH, MA, Tues. July 7, 2015: Haiti’s soccer squad is gearing up for three tough matches this week in the good old USA.
The Haitians will face Panama in a Dallas suburb tonight in the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup opener on Tuesday night.
Placed alongside regional heavyweights Honduras, Panama and the defending champion United States in Group A of the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup, Haiti’s Les Grenadiers faces a testing road in its sixth tournament appearance.
“It is a very difficult group,” said head coach Marc Collat, adding, “but what I want the players to understand is that we really are able to compete with the other teams within the region.”
On Friday, Pascal Millien and the rest of the Haitian football team will face the United States National Team at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts on Friday, July 10 as part of a CONCACAF Gold Cup doubleheader.
Game time is 8:30 p.m. for fans seeking to attend or follow the action.
The match will be preceded by the day’s first game between Panama and the winner of the playoff series between French Guiana and Honduras at 6 p.m.
Haiti will then play Honduras in Kansas City on July 13th.
