News Americas, NEARK, NJ, Fri. Aug. 24, 2018: Lenny Kravitz’s roots stretch to the Caribbean. Wyclef Jean was born there. Both will come to New Jersey for a talk in the next few weeks!
Kravitz and Jean will talk about their music at the intimate Victoria Theater at NJPAC in Newark, as part of a new series entitled “An Evening With …”
The conversation with the Bahamas-roots Kravitz will take place on September 17th and will be hosted by Questlove. Kravitz has been a fixture in the music scene for three decades, since the release of his debut album, Let Love Rule (which he self-produced and sold to Virgin Records) back in 1989. He will release a new album, ‘Raise Vibration,’ on Sept. 7.
Haitian-born Jean will be interviewed by Grammy Museum executive director Bob Santelli on Oct. 16th. Both events will include a performance, as well.
The NJPAC series will be presented in association with the Grammy Museum Experience, which opened last year, housing memorabilia displays and more at Newark’s Prudential Center.
Tickets for the “An Evening With…” programs go on sale today, Friday August 24 at 10 a.m. Visit www.njpac.org or call 888-GO-NJPAC. Additional information can be found at njpac.org/aneveningwith
