The London-based brand has arrived in the Big Apple with a new Fifth Avenue flagship. Opening Thursday, Karen Millen’s new Manhattan store sees the brand capitalize on “strong US demand for British fashion retailers.” The 5,000-square-foot store is part of a new growth strategy that will see the brand’s partnership with Bloomingdales expand from 15 to 20 locations over the next three years, sitting alongside 13 other standalone US stores. “There’s strong demand for British — especially London-led — creativity and design expertise across the world and particularly in the US,” explained CCO Gemma Metheringham.
