News Americas, WASHINGTON, D.C., Fri. Dec. 16, 2011: So President Obama appeared on 60 Minutes last Sunday. Poor me, I missed it.
But far better I have the transcript in front of me word for word. Now I can digest it all and get sick. In fact let’s do it together. Let’s see if it is any more sincere or meaningful than last week’s Obama speech in Osawatomie, Kansas, when he masqueraded as a populist.
Again this week Barack is doing me a favor since it’s getting late and I don’t have a lot of time to deadline before my editor begins yelling and screaming at me – not a pretty picture and worse if you saw my pay check. This way I can load up the article with lots of Obama’s BS and provide my brief insightful comments. That will do the job that needs to be done.
Unmasking the real Obama each week, rather than the actor who ran for President and won in 2008. So let’s do it Steve Kroft of 60 Minutes ‘fame.’ You kiss Obama’s ass we’ll examine the truth ….
So Obama begins …
“And the middle class in America has really taken it on the chin, during this period. They haven’t seen their wages go up, they haven’t seen their incomes go up. You know, women went into the workforce to try to keep family incomes up. But then that wasn’t enough; they ended up getting into debt. And they’re not seeing enough prospects for a future where their kids are gonna do better than they are.
“Now the good news is, we can solve these problems and meet these challenges, because America, by definition, is an innovation
society. We constantly remake ourselves. So there’s no reason why we should not succeed in this era, just like we’ve succeeded in past eras. But it requires us to make some adjustments. And it requires everybody to have a fair chance, everybody to do their fair share, and rules of the road that create fair play for everybody.”
Brilliant Barack! That really solves our problems empty rhetoric.
Next we learn why Obama “really” ran for President …
“There’s no reason why over the next five, ten years, we cannot reposition ourselves so that every single American, no matter what they look like, no matter where they come from, they can succeed. And that’s my goal as President. That’s what I think about every day. And that’s what led me to run for president in the first place.”
Well thank you President Obama. I knew there had to be some reason you ran for President. How stupid am I? I actually though it was for the big plane and the big house and all the luxuries beyond belief that go with the job.
Now here is another precious response by Obama to one of the many fluff questions Steve Kroft lobbed at him … Obama lets us
know politics is NOT on his mind yet …
“And I’ll worry about the politics sometime next year. But right now, what I’m worrying about are the letters that I’m getting and the people I’m talking to every single day, who are working hard, have been working hard for five years, ten years, 20 years, and
don’t feel like they’re getting ahead. And I want to make sure that we’re doing right by them.”
And some of you knuckleheads though Obama was hosting all those never ending $38,000 a plate campaign dinners for political reasons. WRONG! What he is really doing is letting rich Americans know how worried he is about those who aren’t getting ahead. It costs a lot to feed rich people. They won’t eat just anything and neither will Barack.
Man am I glad I got to read this transcript!! No I’m not ….
I have to warn you that I won’t get to all this its ten pages of transcript and my beautiful but demanding editor is screaming at me for copy as deadline is fast approaching and she wants to wrap up. My bigger problem is that this interview is putting me to sleep as it is so dull.
Don’t worry my readers come first!! I’ll stay awake.
Next Kroft asks Obama if he thinks the country is going in the wrong direction?? Here is Obama’s airy response ….
“We didn’t get into these problems overnight. We’re not gonna get out of them overnight. And as long as I’m President, I’m gonna be held responsible, in some fashion, to fix the problem. And, you know, that is why I don’t spend a lot of time worrying about polls. I spend a lot of time worrying about, “Are the steps that we’re taking the right ones, in order to get a better result for ordinary families who are working hard? ”
Once again the REAL truth right from Obama himself. Tts right there. President Obama does not worry about polls and sounds like he doesn’t even look at them. As he says he’s too busy fixing things.
Sorry I have to skip ahead a few pages as Obama spends the next few pages discussing polls even though he doesn’t care about them …
But the truth is I have to go to the end of the interview. I’m beginning to get nauseous and I must finish this before I get sick!
Don’t worry – the best part Obama tells Kroft and the audience is he is not going to abandon us; he is going to give us 5 more years. Oh God I have to hurry, I have to get to the bathroom soon. So here it is the end of the interview …
“Well, we’re not done yet. I’ve got five more years of stuff to do. But not only saving this country from a great depression. Not only
saving the auto industry. But putting in place a system in which we’re gonna start lowering health care costs and you’re never gonna go bankrupt because you get sick or somebody in your family gets sick. Making sure that we have reformed the financial
system, so we never again have taxpayer-funded bailouts, and the system is more stable and secure. Making sure that we’ve got
millions of kids out here who are able to go to college because we’ve expanded student loans and made college more affordable.
“Ending Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell. Decimating al Qaeda, including Bin Laden being taken off the field. Restoring America’s respect around the world.”
Thank God we are saved even if I just lost my dinner, if you know what I mean. But I feel much better now! Vomiting can be good for you especially when Obama predicts he’ll be around for another 5 years and many more 60 Minute interviews.
Everybody together PRAY it’s not true.
OK Dear Editor I finished on time! Even if it had to be short and not torture the audience too much while I let Barack “write” most of this week’s commentary. See, he is good for something!
