FINALLY Barack Obama’s last day as President of the United States.
It is possible to feel mock sympathy for Barack because of the fact that he is so, so unqualified to be President of the United States.
Leadership is truly a foreign word to President Obama and a very apt way to put it in this adventure in Obama’s America about the Ukraine.
This war of words and sanctions he is waging with Putin and Russia to look tough and play to all the military loving whackos inside and outside of Washington is pathetic. Let’s not forget the media doing their part.
Let me explain what is really going on here because it is very simple as much as Obama, Congress and the media are trying to complicate the matter.
Let’s start with the basics. The Ukraine is a very corrupt, poverty-stricken mis-governed place.
The very same OLIGARCHS who were in control of the Ukraine last week are still in control and will remain in control. Nothing has changed and nothing will.
It is the same old game but you would never think so listening to Obama and the others including his equally clueless European sidekick Angela Merkel. They would have us believe a true revolution has just taken place in Ukraine and that enlightenment is now sweeping Ukraine except that …
The Evil Vladimir Putin and the Terrible Russians are determined to stop the Ukraine from becoming a blissful productive prosperous democracy. Am I exaggerating? Not really if you see what they want us to believe.
That only Putin stands between Enlightenment and Despotism and that his true goal is to take over all of the Ukraine and on from there to Poland and everywhere and create a new Russian Empire spanning at least half the Globe that will subjugate the entire world.
Now here is the Truth. Putin is not different or any better or worse than Obama, Merkel and all the others on the other side. All of them are shaping the situation to their maximum advantage.
If we don’t admit the Truth as the famous saying goes, we will never be Free.
What Obama, Merkel and the others see in the Ukraine is a potential advantage for them over the Russians and the Russian leaders see the opposite in the situation for them that is to their advantage.
Now Obama, and especially all the right wing whackos jumping all over Putin, see this their answer to the waning interest on the so called “war on terror.” They see this manufactured Russian threat to our survival as their justification to scare us all into accepting years more of boasted military budgets and unquestioning acceptance to U.S. spying of any and all kinds.
But I only have so much time and space so let’s leave the U.S. military propaganda issue aside for this episode but, please keep it in mind because you cannot separate it from the rest of this troubling story.
Back to the main issue which is there are no good and bad actors here there are just actors playing different roles that suit them and their audience.
Now get this “breaking news” as I sit here writing. This would be hilariously funny if it was a movie and not real life. This is what Obama said on Thursday afternoon seriously …
“Any discussion about the future of Ukraine must include the legitimate government of Ukraine. We are well beyond the days when borders can be redrawn over the heads of democratically elected leaders.”
Obama is discussing the plan for a referendum in Crimea for its residents to decide if they want to remain a part of Ukraine which has now fallen into chaos or be reintegrated back into Russia as it was for hundreds of years and where Russia has a key naval port where virtually everyone is Russian.
Obama is contending that the renegade government of the Ukraine in Kiev controlled by corrupt Ukrainian multimillionaire oligarchs that illegally took over from the former elected President of the Ukraine last week regardless of the fact he was also corrupt and their former ally is legitimate but it is not legitimate for Crimeans to decide their own fate.
If we apply similar logic to the United States then it seems we need to give ourselves back to Britain because we had no right to break away from Great Britain and declare ourselves Americans. Interesting!
So again here is the truth the real aim of Obama and West European leaders is indeed to weaken Russia. The idea that Russian leaders should stand there and take it is just as absurd if the reverse was taking place.
This is nothing more or less than typical international power politics.
The big problem for the rest of us is when guys like Obama and the power brokers in America on both sides of the political aisle try to frame it as Good vs. Evil that is how it can get out of control and these Ding Bats make dangerous decision because they begin to believe their own rhetoric or feel they must prove to us it looks like they do.
Its hard to be sure in a situation like this if we are seeing the stupid Obama who has no business being President of the United States or the con man Obama who has no business bring President of the United States.
Or is it just too much of both. Stay tuned and pray.
In the meantime stay away from the snake oil.
