News Americas, NEW YORK, NY, Fri. Jan. 29, 2016: While I am writing this week’s episode Thursday evening, I’m sure President Barack Obama was not watching the Republican debate minus Cry Baby Donald Trump.
No Barack is riding his Marine One helicopter to a so called Congressional Democrat “retreat” in Maryland.
How do I know this? I keep the New York Times Website on my desktop at all times along with my other regular media partner, The Wall Street Journal.
Why is Obama going? To address Congressional Democrats – not to play golf at night – even if he would like to do so even in the cold. But here is the deal – the nature of this Times article has given me material for this episode.
Thank you partner! So let me get right to this article …
“As Mr. Obama speaks at this year’s retreat here on Thursday evening, he will stand before a far smaller and less popular audience: 188 Democratic lawmakers in a minority caucus with virtually no chance of moving back into power in the November elections.”
That is the story the Democrats in the House and in the Senate too! They have lost their majority while Barack Obama has been President, and as The Times article says, it is not likely to get better this next election even with the Republicans in disarray and the Clown Trump as their possible nominee.
Back to the article …
“Some Democrats hold Mr. Obama responsible, saying their party’s lawmakers took the blame for the president’s aggressive and often unpopular agenda to revive the economy and adopt sweeping health care legislation during his first two years in office. And some say Mr. Obama showed indifference to the political circumstances of rank-and-file lawmakers and missed an opportunity to seize on the undercurrents of populism and anti-establishment sentiment that began coursing through the electorate after the partisan battle over health care.”
Then this …
“The main Democrat nationally, and the only one who could be heard, was silent on the huge structural issues that more and more Americans were facing,” said Stanley Greenberg, a veteran Democratic pollster who blames Mr. Obama for Democratic House losses in 2010 and 2014. “His silence on those things left the voters without much motivation to vote.”
Well, well, well the chickens are coming home to roost.
So the Demagogue Donald Trump is tapping into the huge structural issues President Barack Obama has been SILENT on. Not that Trump is REALLY tapping into them; he is just using rhetoric to appear to be it is what Demagogues do.
But it does not matter; it is working and the Democrats have lost control of Congress with Barack Obama as President. This Obama’s failure has been a key component of Obama’s America for 260 issues before this one.
As far as this Times article, otherwise it is filled with nonsense some Democrats blabbing on that the “real problem” is that Obama could not get “his agenda” because of Republican resistance.
What agenda is that? Standard Democratic President crumbs for us.
Here is what is even far worse irony…
Obama in his own way, did in 2008 what Donald Trump is doing in 2016, talking real CHANGE that deals with “huge structural issues that more and more Americans were facing” that Obama NEVER delivered on.
Obamacare is a perfect example of the Joke Obama pulled on us. Forcing Americans under penalty of law to buy almost worthless health care insurance from private companies and calling it “revolutionary.”
A President Donald Trump will follow the same kind of play book; he is making vague promises that seem to imply so much for most Americans than deliver us another Rich Guy Presidency that takes care of the 1%.
Indeed Barack Obama and Donald Trump have more in common as candidates than anyone else is admitting. The superficial differences in their styles, and their very different “policy positions” only serve to mask the deeper reality that makes them more similar than different.
The fact that Obama and Trump despise each other does not contradict this at all. In fact it makes perfect sense. The last thing either of them wants is to see themselves in the other so they convince themselves they are not alike.
Each despising the other makes perfect sense to avoid their similarities.
As for Obama and his “agenda” the readers commenting on The Times Website to the article are drinking the Obama Kool Aid that he has a useful agenda that would result in Democrats being in control of Congress and the American people’s allegiance except for the Republicans blocking it.
Just don’t ask them to tell you what exactly is the Obama agenda? That would deal with “huge structural issues that more and more Americans were facing.” Maybe more “progressive” (sic) programs like Obama Care.
Thank God at least readers of Obama’s America know better I hope.
Finally, what a great name for the Democrats gathering – a “retreat” and that much “better” with President Obama there Thursday night.
