News Americas, NEW YORK, NY, Fri. July 22, 2011: If so many did not worship at the altar of the Status Quo they’d have no “religion” at all. Include President Obama.

Don’t rely on me; listen to his chief strategist David Plouffe. Let me quote him from the NY Times on July 19, 2011. “People won’t vote based on the unemployment rate. They’re going to vote based on: ‘How do I feel about my own situation? Do I believe the President makes decisions based on me and my family?’”

That may sound more innocuous than it is. And why you should always read my commentaries and others like Plouffe between the lines. Even more that David Plouffe’s comments came from an article specifically about Obama’s campaign strategy for 2012.

As I point out repeatedly Obama’s only agenda is to get himself re-elected so he and Michelle can enjoy another luxury filled 4 years. The campaign strategy follows that “logic” perfectly. The campaign team led by David Plouffe is going to run on the lame “theme” (sic) that Obama is safer than the alternative. That Obama being President may not have changed your life for the better but watch out and think about how bad it might get if you elect a Republican as President instead of Obama.

This is where the Truth and two bad choices collide.

As true as that may be its is another glaring debasement of the so called theme Obama used four years ago to create a sense of national rapture among many Americans with his message (sic) of change we can believe in.

We have painfully learned just how true that is in a convoluted way. The change we can believe in is NO change at all. That Obama is good because of the kind of change Republicans might produce in charge of The White House as they are trying to do in Congress while drinking bitter Tea laced with legislative cyanide.

Wait a second; hasn’t Obama done anything as President? Sure he has. You can’t be in that position and do absolutely nothing although some try hard. It’s not about the little things or about doing exactly what any Democrat in The White House would do young, old, male, male, rich, poor, bright, dim witted, black or white.

Or as we say it’s about the theme stupid not the economy. Can anyone truly say Obama has been a Change Master transforming America for the better as he implied with his “change” campaign that captivated America 4 years ago and won him the Presidency?

Answer. NO!

And now we have even more proof in the words of Obama’s chief campaign strategist and the recent article in the New York Times among others.

Thursday, July 21, 2011, is a convenient example of the kind of “change” Obama has provided us. The last Space Shuttle flight landed this morning. With Obama as President America for the first time since the 1950s has NO active space program. Whether you care about the U.S. space program or not ( you should ) its end symbolizes painfully well the tone of the Obama Administration. Short sightedness and a lack of real change for the better.

Dismantling America’s leadership in space is not change we should want to believe in.
Back to David Plouffe.

Obama’s campaign manager in 2008 and now his inside The White House chief campaign strategist. What he is selling this time is more of the same. Which we now know is what he was selling us 4 years ago. Surprise!

Obama is in effect – I don’t want to over use the word ironic but its tough when writing about Obama – running AGAINST change. Let that sink in. As “smart” as it may be as a campaign strategy how IRONIC is it that Obama’s re-election campaign is built upon attacking change, scaring voters even if rightfully so about Republican change and promoting Barack Obama as the best way to insure the Status Quo thwarting Republican change that seeks to rip the nation apart with its lust for pleasing the rich and powerful.

And officially turning America into a God fearing fundamentalist Christian nation.

If any EXTRA-terrestrial is reading this on some far away planet or close by, they must be convinced I’ writing fiction. This could not possibly be real. Sadly very sadly ET, it is!

Let’s hear that David Plouffe quote again about the theme of the new campaign: “They’re going to vote based on: ‘How do I feel about my own situation? Do I believe the president makes decisions based on me and my family?’ ”

Well what exactly does that mean David?

That we should all live our lives viscerally “enjoying” watching Obama and family enjoying The White House, Air Force One, those trips to Hawaii and Nantucket next up, flying all over the globe, having fat state dinners for the likes of the Chinese dictators while Nobel Peace Prize recipients are thrown in jail.

Or David do you mean American families should be happy with Obama trying to make agreements with Republicans that makes cuts in social security, Medicare and unemployment benefits, also slashing at food stamps and special school programs for poor childrenwhile keeping special tax credits for corporate jets?

What exactly are you selling this time other than FEAR about how bad it will be that because of Obama’s failures? That the majority of American voters might make an even worse choice and elect a Republican President or even the nightmare scenario where voters go crazy and elect the Queen of the Whackos – no I don’t suffer from headaches I give others headaches – Michelle Bachmann. What a mess!

Thanks to Barack Obama and David Plouffe. And their campaign message of NO change.
