News Americas, MIAMI, FL, Weds. Aug. 3, 2011: The official song of the 16th Pan American Games Guadalajara 2011 has been released.
The song is sang by Mexican singer Alejandro Fernandez and is titled, “El Mismo Sol” (The Same Sun).
The 20-year-old singer will perform the song live for the first time on Oct. 14 at the opening ceremony of the Pan American Games, which will continue until Oct. 30 and is expected to have more than 5,000 athletes from across the Americas.
The song was composed by famed Peruvian singer-songwriter Gianmarco Zignago and produced by Humberto Gatica.
