As American fashion week comes to a close in New York, Paris Modes TV fashion editor Natalia Grgona took a moment to share her impressions on the season’s runway presentations and their lot of surprises. The last major cold fronts in New York led to a comeback for voluminous outerwear: each runway show presented a vast offering of coats, parkas and jackets of all kinds, made with technical materials and special lining for braving low temperatures. One of the major trends of this New York fashion week is the return of the rebel look, with each designer providing his or her own interpretation: colorful “punkettes” in studded berets and shoes at Marc Jacobs, 80s-inspired looks at Diesel Black Gold, sensual “grungettes” at Alexander Wang, and 70s-style urban rock looks at Rodarte.
