News Americas, MARIGOT, St. Martin, Sat. Sept. 17, 2011: A private jet terminal is coming to St. Kitts/Nevis.
Minister of Tourism, Ricky Skerritt, says ground for the new terminal will be broken on November 2, 2011 at the St. Kitts’ Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport.
The terminal will be located west of the main airport and is being designed and built by Bobby Mukherji and Associates of India. The US$15 terminal will include world class arrival and departure lounges, a business center and related offices and processing facilities.
The terminal will be constructed and operated by Veling Limited and is set to be officially opened in July 2012.
The groundbreaking comes as Skerritt revealed that the country has seen a 14 percent spike in visitors from North America and as a recent survey showed that the demographic of visitors to the islands are largely 50-year-old’s who earn over $100,000.
