News Americas, BROOKLYN, NY, Mon. June 20, 2011: Ms. Gay Caribbean USA Queen, Jennifer Banks, passed away Saturday at a hospital in the Bronx.
Organizers of the Pageant said Banks passed on Saturday, Jun 18, 2011 from medical complications to a sudden illness.
Banks had represented Trinidad and Tobago at the pageant last year and successfully won the crown from a field of six contestants.
“Jennifer Banks was one of the most dedicated contestants ever to participate in the pageant. She will be remembered for her commitment to the goals and objectives of what the pageant is about,” said Hemish Gervis, pageant coordinator.
Funeral services for Banks will be held on Friday, Jun 24 at the Unity Funeral Chapels, located at 2352-54 Eighth Avenue, New York NY from 7 p.m.
