News Americas, NEW YORK, NY, Tues. Sept. 12, 2017: It’s been 16 years already since that horrific day on September 11, 2011 when some 2,800 people – an estimated 600 of whom were migrants and some 110 of whom were Caribbean immigrants – lost their lives. This year, as the city paused to mark another anniversary and yet again read out loud the name of each victim, we remember the Caribbean immigrants who called New York City home. May we never forget!
