News Americas, PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad, Tues. Sept. 13, 2011: Caribbean beauties are being urged to enter for a shot at becoming the first ever, Caribbean’s Next Top Model.
Executive Producer, Ian Royer, announced that casting is officially open for any young woman between the ages of 18 to 27 who stands 5’7” and taller. Any national from the English, French and Dutch Caribbean, as well as Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic, is urged to enter.
The producers begin their quest for models in Barbados on Sunday, Sept. 11th when they attended the official casting for Barbados’ Fashion Week that was hosted by Barbadian Fashion expert Rodney Powers.

Former Miss Universe, Wendy Fitzwilliam, is the head judge and also co-executive producer while other judges will include Richard Young, a fashion veteran who has carved a pronounced niche in the fashion industry across the region and Australian Photographer Pedro Virgil who has worked on Australia’s Next Top Model and shot for magazines such as Australian Vogue and Sports Illustrated. A rotating fourth judge will be selected weekly that will be a regional or international fashion authority.
“I will be the Drill Sergeant,” said Fitzwilliam, who added that she has committed herself to ensuring the franchise produces a girl capable of being successful in the competitive field of modeling.
