News Americas, ST. JOHN’S, Antigua, Mon. June 1, 2015: Guyanese-born West Indies batsman and former skipper, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, has been officially dropped from the next West Indies test squad to face Australia this week.
Chanderpaul , 87 runs short of breaking the record for most Test runs by a West Indian, was not included in the 14-member Windies squad to face Australia in the first of two Tests starting June 3.
Selectors claim he was left out because of poor form. Chanderpaul made only 92 runs at an average of 15.33 in the three Tests against England in April and May.
The uncapped duo of Shane Dowrich, who scored twin fifties against the touring Australians, and Rajindra Chandrika, have been selected in the Windies test team.
