News Americas, NEW YORK, NY, Mon. Dec. 17, 2012: The 2nd Amendment of the U.S. Constitution has very, very precise wording: “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”
It does not rather state only …. “the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” So logically nor legally can you separate that statement from its first part … “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State …”
There is a very obvious and simple and very logical interpretation of the COMPLETE Amendment that those who choose to and are called upon to become members of a “well regulated militia” shall not have their right to bear arms infringed.
A militia by definition and as understood by those who wrote and approved the US. Constitution and this Amendment a militia was and is a government sanctioned organized group of private citizens who when called to duty, would take on a military responsibility for the government and have the weapons necessary to do so in their possession. Very quickly in the United States, the general term militia came to be National Guard units in each state.
Was this demon Adam Lanza or his whacked out gun loving mother members of the Connecticut National Guard? Then what in the U.S. Constitution or the 2nd Amendment gave them the legal right to own military assault rifles and other semi-automatic weapons and as many as they might wish to purchase – when the only legitimate purpose of such weapons is in military units, the national guard and police departments.
WHY????
Because the dark side of America is that for the life of our nation, special interests have always been able to buy just about anything they want from our government. The tragic example here is the gun lobby whether unorganized or now for many decades highly organized into the most powerful lobby group in America.
It would be a totally different reality for government whether the federal or states individually, to allow any citizen who passes rigorous requirements to be allowed to keep under lock in their home one pistol of a kind that is approved so that they might feel secure from what they perceive are exaggerated threats that marauders are out there waiting to come into their homes at night and murder them and their families for amusement.
One simple pistol is more than enough for anyone who thinks in those terms to confront some dangerous intruder. Bur that is not what we have in America; what we have because of the mindless interpretation of the 2nd Amendment by the U.S. Supreme Court with the enthusiastic support of generations of elected officials including the current Congress and President Obama, is that gun possession is treated as some hobby, like stamp collecting.
Own as many weapons as you like of whatever kind you can afford to and including the most advanced and deadly military style guns and rifles made. Want to collect 100 of them? No problem! As long as you aren’t a convicted criminal or certified legally out of your mind. That restriction has no impact on over 90 percent of Americans to legally own as many weapons as they want.
WHY??
If these same 90%+ of Americans bought and kept sticks of dynamite, or hand grenades, or anthrax or other deadly devices and substances they would be in clear and serious criminal violation of both federal and state law unless they had a very difficult to obtain license to buy and possess dynamite or grenades or those other instruments that are comparable to guns in the deadly damage they can inflict on innocent individuals but …
Guns including machine guns, assault rifles, high powered pistols, etc, etc., as long as they are classified as guns, are virtually subject to no control whatsoever. While if you even bought a large amount of fertilizer without any obvious need for it, you would be visited by law enforcement agents to investigate. Why?
How is this absurd situation possible?
Because it is our government that is out of control!
And even after this latest massacre and with the next one just as certain to happen, again and again this Congress and this weak President are going to do absolutely nothing to protect us.
While 20 beautiful young children and others rot in their graves.
Weep for America! Weep for us all. While more Americans get mowed down by military style guns and assault rifles in the hands of demons who are able to claim it is their right as Americans.
Stop crying President Obama and do something about it.
Show some courage for a change. Change master Obama (sic).
The U.S. Constitution does not allow guns and only guns to be beyond our government’s right to protect its citizens.
That is a tragic dangerous fiction that must be undone.
Right now!
