News Americas, NEW YORK, NY, Thurs. Oct. 15, 2015: Sri Lanka finished the opening day of the first Test against West Indies strong yesterday with a whopping 250 for two.
Opening batsman Dimuth Karunaratne led the way with his third Test century. Karunaratne’s unbeaten 135 and a knock of 72 not out from Dinesh Chandimal put the hosts firmly on top at the Galle International Stadium.
West Indies senior pacers Jerome Taylor, Â Kemar Roach and Shannon Gabriel as well as spinners Devendra Bishoo and Jomel Warrican have a lot of work to do today.
West Indies is on tour under brand new captain Jason Holder.
