News Americas, NEW YORK, NY, Fri. May 23, 2014: Caribbean music fans in New York City are in for a treat this Memorial Day Weekend as Tessanne Chin headlines the inaugural Oracabessa Festival at the popular Roy Wilkins Park in Queens, New York.
Chin is one of four top Caribbean acts set for the inaugural Oracabessa Festival at the popular Roy Wilkins Park in Queens, New York on Monday, May 26th. Other will include the self-proclaimed king of the dancehall, Beenie Man as well as reggae’s Konshens and Assassin.
The Voice Season 5 winner is slated to perform for NYC’s Caribbean fans ahead of the release of her album, Count on My Love. That will hit stores on June 24th.
Other attractions at the festival will include Andrew Clarke’s Braata Folk Singers, a fashion show (Irie Fashion Rave) featuring local area models and designers as well as The Caribbean Heritage Awards, a Domino Championship, a Kids Amusement Area, a business Expo, Health Pavilion, Arts & Craft and a Gospel Band Stage.
