1: Playa Pesquero
The Hotel Playa Pesquero, located in the oriental county of Holguin, in Cuba has been rated as the best hotel in Cuba currently. It was inaugurated in 2003 by then President Fidel Castro and is located on the fine white sand beach of Pesquero and is a 5 minutes car ride to Santa Lucía and only 10 minutes to the tourist area of Guardalavaca. Playa Pesquero, or the Fishing Beach, is an all-inclusive hotel with unlimited meals included in all restaurants. Reservation, however, is required for dinner in restaurants a la carte. Daytime entertainment includes non-motorized water sports, social games, board games, programs for children and programs for ecological excursions. There is evening entertainment with traditional folklore programs and live artistic performances. This hotel has wifi service in the internet cafe and lobby.
2: Blau Costa Verde Beach Resort
Taking the second spot on the list is Blau Costa Verde Beach Resort. This is another all-inclusive that is located on the seafront next to the fine white sandy beach of Playa Pesquero in eastern Cuba. Prices include daily breakfast, lunch and buffet dinner; À la Carte dinner once a week per customer; local beverages and select international brands; non-motor water sports, sporting activities: volleyball, basketball, tennis, aerobics and snorkeling and aytime and evening entertainment programme including Spanish lessons, dance classes, and nightly shows. Wifi is available at around costs 6.00 CUC per hour.
3: Paradisus Rio de Oro Resort & Spa
Listed as the third best hotel in Cuba is the Paradisus Rio de Oro Resort & Spa. This resort is set on a beach next to the Bahía de Naranjo Natural Park and is partly themed after an indigenous village. It is all-inclusive, adult-only resort is 59 km from downtown Holguín. The country-chic suites feature balconies or terraces along with satellite TVs, minibars and coffeemakers. Some include outside showers, free champagne and sea views. Upgraded suites offer whirlpool tubs and access to a private lounge, while villas include private pools. Dining options include 8 restaurants and 7 bars. There’s also an outdoor pool, plus beach access, a spa and a gym. There is Wi-Fi in the lobby at the Paradisus Rio de Oro.
4: Iberostar Varadero
Located opposite the stunning white sands of expansive Varadero beach is the IBEROSTAR Varadero hotel, which ranks as the fourth best in Cuba. This is a luxurious all-inclusive that lets guests experience the essence of Cuba with some of the best island cuisine, musical rhythms, spacious rooms and a wide range of land and water activities. The Varadero appeals to couples and families alike with lots of water pressure and hot water. It is a 45 minute journey from Varadero International Airport and has Wifi at 10CUC for an hour.
5: Blau Varadero Hotel Cuba
With 395 rooms located on the Caribbean beachfront the Blau Varadero Hotel Cuba made it into the top five list of best hotels and resorts in Cuba today. This hotel also offers an all-inclusive option for the entire family that includes 3 Meals daily plus 24 hour snacks at its four restaurants; all drinks (domestic beer & cocktail, select international brands, house wine with meals) at the four bars on site; daily activities; nightly entertainment; a kids club (4-12 years) and introductory scuba lesson in the pool.There is WiFi access in the area immediately beside the reception desk and I believe also in the piano bar and lobby bar areas. Card costs 4.50 CUC and it gives you one hour internet access.
