News Americas, NEW YORK, NY, Weds. Mar. 14, 2018: A Caribbean-born artist is now the world’s most streamed female recording artist on Apple Music.

Barbados-born Rihanna took the title, ahead of Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, and Ariana Grande.
Apple recently announced that Riri surpassed two billion streams worldwide on Apple Music on International Women’s Day, Thursday, March 8, 2018.

Rihanna hit the music scene in 2005 at age 17, after being signed to Jay-Z‘s label, Roc-A-Fella Records. Her debut single, “Pon De Replay” put her on the map and radio couldn’t stop spinning the addictive tune.

Thirteen years later, the singer has added entrepreneur, actress, fashionista and humanitarian to her growing resume.
