News Americas, NEW YORK, NY, Weds. Nov. 21, 2018: A Caribbean born singer, actress, entrepreneur and philanthropist has been named as one of the most influential young people under 40 in business and also one of the highest paid women in music.
Barbados-born star, Rihanna, was this week named in the Fortune’s 2018 40 Under 40 annual ranking. She is one on only a handful of black women on the list and was ranked at 21. The 30-year-old made the list for her recent business lines including the cosmetics line, Fenty Beauty, that reportedly pulled in $100 million in its first 40 days and was named one of 2017’s best inventions. She also made the list for releasing the lingerie brand, Savage x Fenty, that caters to all body types and sizes.
Meanwhile, the singer was named to top 10 list of Forbes’ World’s Highest-Paid Women In Music 2018. Rihanna ranked 7th with $37.5 million, just behind Puerto Rico-roots superstar, Jennifer Lopez, with $47 million.
