News Americas, NEW YORK, NY, Tues. Sept. 13, 2016: A Caribbean roots designer who grew up immersed in his Latin culture literally left tongues wagging after going to the dogs last week at New York Fashion Week.

Anthony Rubio, who was born in New York City but is of Puerto Rican ancestry, has delved into the world of pet fashions and earning for himself the title of Master Pet Couturier.

After becoming the first pet fashion designer to showcase at New York’s Fashion Week in February of 2012, Rubio returned again for Spring 2017.

He showed off his one-of-a-kind doggy designs – all glitz and glam – recently at the Hammerstein Ballroom on September 9, 2016.

The pet industry is estimated to be a fifty billion dollar industry worldwide and Rubio is reaching into his world of inspirations to create confections that every dog owner in the know wants to possess.

With a formal education in women’s wear design and twenty years of experience creating and innovating new concepts and techniques, Rubio’s creations are strictly considered collectible art inspired and definitely delightfully for any puppy.

His creations have been featured on Good Morning America, New York Times, The Today Show, USA Today, Vogue Italia, MTV Style, TIME magazine, Glamour Magazine, Yahoo! News, MSN News, Woman’s Wear Daily, New York Magazine’s The Cut, Refinery 29, People Magazine, Sports Illustrated, among many others.
