News Americas, NEW YORK, NY, Fri. Jan. 11, 2018: A Caribbean roots actress return to US TV this week in a new sitcom in a prime-time slot.
Jamaican-American Sheryl Lee Ralph is playing a series regular on the new CBS sitcom ‘Fam,’ which premiered at 9:30 PM ET. On Jan. 10, 2019.
The Tony nominee of Dreamgirls fame will play Rose, the mother of Nick and Clem (Nina Dobrev and Tone Bell), a newly engaged couple whose picture-perfect story goes off the rails when Clem’s teen sister Shannon unexpectedly moves in with them.
In the last year alone, her TV appearances have included roles in CBS’s MacGyver, TNT’s Claws, BET’s The Quad, and the Freeform holiday movie No Sleep ‘Til Christmas.
