Venezuela-born Garbine Muguruza was recently ranked among The Highest-Paid Female Athletes for 2018 by Forbes with total earnings of $11 million.
Muguruza, 24, won her second Slam at Wimbledon last year. The title meant a big bonus from sponsor Adidas and also helped her land a deal with Rolex.
Evian signed the Venezuelan pro this year for a multi-year, global marketing campaign. Other sponsors include Babolat, Beats by Dre, Rolex, Maui Jim sunglasses and Caser Seguros insurance.
Muguruza lives currently in Geneva and is coached by Sam Sumyk.
She is behind Sloane Stephens with total earnings of $11.2 million; Caroline Wozniacki with total earnings of $13 million and Serena Williams with earnings of $18.1 million and the title of the world’s top paid female athlete.
