1: Â The Hotel Rancho Cerro Azul
Located in La Fortuna de San Carlos, Costa Rica, The Hotel Rancho Cerro Azul is just 600 meters west from the road entrance to La Fortuna Waterfall, La Fortuna de San Carlos and the Arenal Volcano National Park in Costa Rica. This lovely ranch hotel is run by the Aragon family who started it back in 2006 with the purpose of creating a place where visitors became familiar with Costa Rican traditions and ways of life. It is full of great natural beauty including lush exuberant woods, rivers, a wide variety of birds and tropical gardens as well as offering an impressive view of the Arenal Volcano. The spacious 8 cabins are impressively done with beautiful native woods and a large bathroom with modern fixtures. There is also a “back porch” facing the meadow and rainforest with a hammock.
The Seagrape Plantation Resort in West End, Roatan, Honduras features beautiful ocean views and gorgeous sunsets from five Caribbean cabanas. It only has 22 hotel rooms which are nestled in the middle of the resort but all offer easy access to the ocean shore and fresh water pool, where you can relax and enjoy the beauty of the Caribbean. It offers a private and secluded while still just around the corner from all that West End has to offer. You can also snorkel right off the property and there is a dive shop right on the property. The resort is close to the town for shopping and nightlife, but far enough away from the noise and crowds.
