The latest chapter in the impeachment FARCE organized by so-called Democrats who have NO place in the future of the REAL Democratic Party, and why REAL Democrats are focused on WINNING the 2020 election.

Instead, for this episode, let’s dig into SPORTS and college! DISCLAIMER: my choice may have been impacted by the fact I have invented a brilliant new team sport of the future – abbreviated name Qball.

Sorry Trump’s America is not the place to write about Qball so this episode is about the BALL & CHAIN, otherwise known as college or NCAA sports.
Pander Bears like Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren are out there trying to “buy” Democratic primary votes by promising to wipeout all student debt and make college free from now on for all Americans, not just the poor. Ridiculous promises but God Bless gullible voters who eat up BS like that even though eating animal parts is very bad for the environment.
The reason these FALSE promises are even much worse, which no one else is writing about, is that they would further empower and enrich America’s CORRUPT college system, which desperately needs to be reformed.
So after my always interesting and innovative opening to every episode …
FINALLY, this brings me to COLLEGE SPORTS – a very good example of the CORRUPTION institutional corruption, aka legal corruption engrained in the college system, where institutional CORRUPTION is everywhere!
And because of this widespread corruption throughout our college system, hundreds of billions of $$$ are being wasted, many lives are financially destroyed, phony hopes dashed, and America’s future is being ROBBED of so much of our Promise as a nation destroyed by this corrupt system.
Does Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren have a Clue about any of this? Of course not. Besides, all they care about is dialing for primary votes by throwing around college debt cancellation and FREE college for all!
Yes, I am going to get to college sports right now.
Way out in California, they are “tackling” the college sports problem head on, be it modestly. What problem? The SLAVE college athlete problem or to be just slightly more precise, the indentured servitude of student athletes.
Yes, the outrageous fact even here in the “enlightened” 21st century is that student athletes are forced to play for FREE while colleges collect MEGA-bucks from their LABOR – from broadcast rights, sponsorships, luxury boxes, ticket sales and merchandizing to name just some of the sources of INCOME especially for colleges that are among the RICHEST institutions on Earth!
Time to bring in The New York Times with this headline on October 1st.
N.C.A.A. Athletes Could Be Paid Under New California Law
“It has been a bedrock principle behind college sports: Student-athletes should not be paid beyond the costs of attending a university. California threatened that standard on Monday after Gov. Gavin Newsom signed a bill to allow players to strike endorsement deals and hire agents.”
How RADICAL is this? PAY college athletes. Not radical at all!
In fact, why has not every Democratic candidate for President already done what I am doing here. Cheering paying college athletes. A lot more realistic than cancelling ALL student debt or making college FREE for all.
Just don’t get too excited about the new California law because it is “supposed to take effect in 2023.” Justice delayed is justice denied!
This obvious point from The Times that just elevates the HYPOCRISY.
“Every single student in the university can market their name, image and likeness; they can go and get a YouTube channel, and they can monetize that,” Newsom said. “The only group that can’t are athletes. Why is that?”
Yes, not only can every other student except ATHLETES make as much money as they like, but colleges in fact encourage student entrepreneurial success. On a different level, why are students paid to work in the library or cafeteria or elsewhere in these universities except on the athletic field?
I am not going to go much further with this.
I simply want to address the far larger issue about our college system. It is filled with fraud and abuse and needs to be radically reformed. Right now, it serves just one group just like all our other institutions – the RICH & POWERFUL.
Is this the America the rest of us need or want? I DON’T THINK SO!
