A very serious important gift for all of you.
A far better America for all our futures.
Certainly not this one where the rich just keep getting richer and richer while everyone else struggle along some more other less but with no truly better future for the years and decades to come. Just decay be it slow or quick.
America may never have been quite the place we dreamed it to be. And the past was far worse for many than today. But that is NOT good enough.
The PROMISE of America is what makes it special for us. But when the promise becomes very empty without a real vision for the future that promise is nothing but bankrupt.
Does anyone any more – except the Super Rich – have good reason for optimism about a far better tomorrow for themselves and us all?. Forget about Trump if you think he is the REAL problem you are kidding yourself. Donald J. Trump is nothing but a symptom of an America without hope.
Don’t worry, I am not offering you a GLOOMY future just the opposite as my special Christmas present, I’m setting the stage and wrapping your gift.
There have been two or three or four American revolutions depending on how and what you count. Of course, the first in 1776, many would add 1789 a new government and Hamilton leading the way. Then there was Abraham Lincoln and the Civil War. Some include Roosevelt and his New Deal.
As for the future it is truly time for another American REVOLUTION.
My Christmas present in this episode for us all. A peaceful revolution.
A REVOLUTION to create an America for the future for ALL of us.
We surely will not get it from Donald Trump and Republicans but neither from Chuck Schumer or Nancy Pelosi and the Status Quo Democrats of the Clintons, Obamas, or Bidens or their many look alikes in DC and elsewhere.
All they are selling is a somewhat kinder gentler version and not much more of the Status Quo where more and more Americans sink into the muck. No matter how low the unemployment rate or the booming economy rewards are mostly all going to the few. Never ever has wealth and power been concentrated in so few. Not even at the height of the days when the Robber Barons ruled late in the 19th and early 20th century. The wealth and power of the very rich in the U.S and globally puts them to “shame” in comparison.
If you look beyond our borders it is only much worse. And worse still that America is no longer the hope of the world for the rest of the Earth.
So, my Christmas gift is the REVOLUTION in our aspirations and perceptions that is the necessary foundation to create a BETTER world.
It is time to get ANGRY. Our so-called leaders lack vision and are unable to articulate let alone produce a NEW America for the 21st century. We need boldness not the meekness of just ridding us of Donald J. Trump.
Let’s begin with a form of Capitalism for today and tomorrow that works for us all that accounts for the fact WE MUST ALL BE EQUAL STAKE HOLDERS in Corporate America and the economy. It is nothing but primitive and fatally destructive to believe that large companies exist most of all to maximize the income of the rich at the expense of us all.
Those who benefit the most from America owe the most to everyone else.
As for OUR government highly biased toward the rich and the powerful is another pivotal problem that must be addressed right now. We have a tax code that has the audacity to tell us giving even more to the rich is the way for the rest of us to get the best deal. Sucker deal that is. And that cons us into believing we must pander to wealth or all the best and the brightest will go live and work someplace else maybe China, and leave us hopeless.
They are going NOwhere – they have it so, so good right here. Better than any other place on Earth because of all YOUR hard work. But who are the best and the brightest WAKE up it is you and you too. If you had a fair chance and were not the victim of a very unfair system that leaves you behind.
So please accept my Christmas gift and STOP buying all the BS the Status Quo Junkies both Republicans and Democrats keep pushing on us. If all the many Democrat Presidential candidates are offering is relief from whacky Donald Trump let’s reject their EMPTY gifts and demand better in 2020.
So please unwrap my gift – it is the next American REVOLUTION for you.
